Congressional Immaturity

August 31, 2005

It was so frustrating to watch the news last night. The opposition congressmen walking out of the session hall, some even throwing papers up into the air. Everybody was trying to grab the microphone to deliver their invectives. And suddenly the camera span into the Congressional gallery where you see the widow of the late Presidential candidate, Susan Roces smiling while watching the scenes below. (more…)

Pinoy Big Brother Continues to Sizzle

August 30, 2005

As expected, the MTRCB has issued a warning to ABS-CBN regarding some episodes of the Pinoy Big Brother where some of the housemates where discussing “mature topics” such as past sexual experiences, contraceptives for women where they freely utter words that apparently some viewers find too appaling and not well suited for kids. Veggie Lunch Anyone?

August 19, 2005

Want a healthier alternative to your daily meat and fish dishes that is not heavy on your budget? Then try Bodhi’s variety of viands which ranges from Sweet and Sour, Asado, Kare-Kare among others. But unlike your ordinary Filipino viands, Bodhi uses meat substitute or the “veggie meat”. It tastes and looks like meat minus the fats. This lunch time, I had their sauteed tofu with red bell pepper and their sauteed vegetables for only P59 inclusive of a 12 oz. soda. Ah, yeah that’s the only flaw with this restaurant. They should have an alternative to this carbonated drinks if they want to be true to their healthier alternative motto. At any rate, for its price and health value, Bodhi is still highly recommended.
